Workaholics

Poem for Workaholics

How boring will be work ?
If you don't at all shirk!
Have no time for friends?
You go out of trends!

Work is worship!
A karmic ship!
Earns you living
With great zing,
Talents explore
To fame galore,
Head and heart
Start to smart,
Morning till evening
Is it your only being ?

Running so fast
ahead of the love ?
Aren't you a surgeon
In want of glove ?

Can only work be life?
Can it be your wife?
Can it be your kids?
Can it be best friends?

Work is to please,
Not to appease,
Work is to acquire
Till you retire,
Don't make it your life
Else you strife,
Under work overload
You sure will explode,

Hold your head up,
Take a pause,
A loud laugh,
Find her link
One sweet wink,
Use some wit
Stress will split,
Take a break,
Have some fun,
A small picnic,
A secret meet,
Love will greet !

Life is beyond,
Not a frog's pond !
Work is a jerk,
Love is a perk !
You are not for work,
Work is for you !

Dr. Upma This is so true and honest. If we just work all our lives and never have time for fun and joy then we are working for nothing. Thank you for the great comment on my Why God poem

Some people will work at a career but not at a marriage and at the end of the day everyone suffers. A great write Dr Sharma. Hugs Jan xxx
