Work Undone
The battle is not over; a victory has not been won
Until all the hearts are filled with Christ, there's still work to be done
The true test of his followers will be set on Judgment Day
There's no escape from his grasp, not one soul shall slip away
He paid the price for our sins when he went to be crucified
With thorns and nails throughout his body, our Lord Jesus Christ had died
Before an utter ceased to exist, Jesus spoke these words through
"Forgive them Father", for they had sinned, "They know not what they do"
Why is it that when our days are numbered, God receives more and more tears?
It is because man claims the end is close, that they have more to fear?
God is willing to forgive and furthermore to forget.
Even though his saints have backslid, he loves us just as the day we met
Many test his almighty power, and some might dare to doubt it
I am a willing and standing witness, whatever you may need my God can supply it
My life at one time seemed to have no point, my faith once went blank.
He delivered both my mind and soul; I cry and scream "Lord, Thanks"
He is our shelter and our protection when the devil tries to grab us
He heals and restores us, fills our hearts full with gladness
When our faith may start to fail us, he swoops us in his wings
Our great and merciful God above, can grant us everything
So if you think to take a break from sowing a Christian seed
Remember there's a battle brewing, more Christians is what we need.
