Work of Angels
WORK OF ANGELS
From dawn to dawn rustling wings merciful song
shredding lemon zest to brighten the sun
stuffing pillow clouds with fanciful cotton
replacing light bulbs in each burned-out star
retouching each haloed cirque of a rainbow
whittling each phase of the wayfaring moon
From dusk to dusk seraphim and cherubim hum along
