Words written in stone

There's a field nearby with words written in stone Ash set in then blew away; like fallen snow Planes came in dropping bombs till all atone Following, guns drawn; history in the know It could have been crops planted matured and grown Humans plan of repetition fate would show War has brought no solution or curtailing Shining only a spotlight on our failing
