Words Unspoken
I've lived but never understood until now that is
don’t ever let a word go unspoken
I've done that so many times so now I’ll tell you
to all the people that lit up my life I say keep shining
to all the people I hurt I say please understand I truly am sorry although I know it can’t change a thing
to every girl that can’t see how beautiful they are I say open your eyes and look at the mirror for it will show you what beauty is because it is you
to the loved ones I pushed away I say I was not yet ready to face the truth I was too afraid
to all the friends I gave up on I apologize for the greediness I took action on I never meant to hurt you
and to all of you that are reading this please don’t judge me because just as you are I am a human being
to myself I say always be patient and pay attention be prudent in every choice you make
to my family I say I love you and I’m sorry you deserved better than me I’ve always known that I would lose sight of the goals I set and get lost in myself and end up taking it out on you
these are the words left unspoken even now for they can only be read
