Words Pay No Debts

Words fail me,
An inspiration
I owe to you,
A bad debt ?

Obligations I know
Liable to render,
Have few words,
Did I trespass ?

Poverty stricken
Have no words,
Gift me cues,
Words pay no debts !

Do they ?
They don't ever,
So I won't either
Pay back your words !

Dr. Upma A deep and powerful write that makes the reader think about each line. Strong and honest. Thank you for the great comment on my Suicide poem.

I had to read this several times to follow the subtle intent and meaning. Nice take on the quote you chose "words pay no debts". A Shakespearian "promises, promises, promises. It made me think....I like that in a poem!!
