Tri-Con
Created by Connie Marcum Wong consisting of at least 4 three line stanzas. Each line has no set meter or syllable count. The last word in each stanza must rhyme with the following Stanza and then you need to change your rhyming word again in the third stanza and so on.
I eavesdrop on chatty breezes
whispering words of gibberish;
amidst the sound of rustling leaves.
For setting the leaves aflutter,
they garner secrets from the trees,
decoding subtle sighs and heaves.
Autumn creates a fairyland,
with the assistance of Jack Frost;
inking changing leaves in the park.
Rays of sunlight freckle the ground;
playing tag with shifting shadows
cast by naked twigs looking stark.
Strolling through Fall's kaleidoscope
my anxieties disappear;
and I tend to leave with a smile.
For the laughter of the children
frolicking in piles of dried leaves;
makes these Autumn outings worthwhile.
