Tri-Con
Created by Connie Marcum Wong consisting of at least 4 three line stanzas. Each line has no set meter or syllable count. The last word in each stanza must rhyme with the following Stanza and then you need to change your rhyming word again in the third stanza and so on.
I overhear feisty breezes
whispering words of gibberish
amidst the sound of rustling leaves.
Setting the treetops aflutter
they garner secrets from the trees,
decoding subtle sighs and heaves.
Autumn creates a fairyland,
complete with ethereal sprites
that ink the Maples in the park.
Rays of sunlight freckle the ground,
playing tag with swaying shadows
cast by a net of twigs and bark.
Strolling through Fall's kaleidoscope
my anxieties disappear,
and I tend to leave with a smile.
For the laughter of the children
rollicking in the piles of leaves,
always makes these outings worthwhile.
