Words of apology and regret

There are words of apology and regret
That we may never hear during this lifetime
People do harm, intentional or not
They move on and never think about the fallout
Maybe what we need to do
Is write that apology to ourselves
Put down our feelings on paper
Then burn it all to be released to the ethers
Into the sky above to fly
Free to the white light so pure
To be transmuted and cleansed
Never to be experienced ever again
