Words I and Ii

Words I
The meaning has fallen out
And the words don’t know it yet
They hang in the air,
Heavy with their own importance
Soon they will fall
On their flat little faces
And the dictionaries
Will turn over in their graves

Words II
I coax the letters
Into words
They are hopeful

They want to say
Something
Worthwhile

On the open expanse
Of the white page
They claim their space

Knowing
They are stronger together
Than they were alone

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
