Words and the Word

What has become of all the words I speak
That leave my mouth to touch some others ears
I hope I have at least calmed others fears
Inside their soul I hope my words did seep
Still others I have been with as they weep
To speak soft words that brought us both to tears
Sometimes the words we speak will act like mirrors
Reflecting what we try to hide so deep

Oh how I hope to touch those near at hand
But also those I love so far away
I do not want their life to shift like sand
Instead I hope the Rock is where they'll stay
His words have stood the test of time as planned
My words are just a vapor spoke from clay

Well done, I didn't know there was a form of an italian sonnet, it was very neat to read. Grats on your winner in PD's contest :)
