Words

your words
are whisps of thought
that can be blown away
by the wind

if it is strong enough
i will never hear at all
and they will mean nothing

assuming i want to hear them anyway

i hear lies so bold
they block out the truth
and i never will trust
your words again

no matter how resounding your voice

how convincing your case
you have lost my belief
in the love you falsely profess

how many times, countless times

can you say I LOVE YOU
without meaning it
and never feel a thing

to me they are more than words
i would venture to state
you disagree

i abhor your words...stop speaking
