Notes About The Poem

what you say can give away the games you play

Words

Be careful with words you intone,
because words have lives of their own.
Words overblown, relayed on the phone,
words in harsh tones that jolt, stun and depose,
and shock us with what they disclose.

If you always write your poetry from the heart, you will reveal your soul.

This is so true how things you say can come back to haunt you. We see this every day in politics. There is always someone willing to take your words, twist them and then hold them against you. This is why I rarely ever post anything on social media. John

Poetry is about all I post too - and I'm told that THAT can be to revealing *sigh* Oh, well.

Yes, sometimes they confirm what we suspect - or what's been hinted at by others and our imaginations intuit the rest.
