Words

We are here.
Can you feel us,
Sitting just behind your heart,
Locked in Your chest,
Lost in the dark,
Dreaming of the dawn of creation?
We are here.
Open your eyes that we may see,
Open your mouth that we may breathe.
This prison is no place for the living.
Our salvation is in your hands.
Set us free to explore the unknown lands
Of distant minds
Let us roam.
Someday we may find
A new heart to call home.
