Words have power we can't see
they reach into the heart
Some bring hope and peace again
while others tear apart...
Words can be a healing balm
to take away the pain
Others cause enormous loss
and leave a lasting stain...
Words can strengthen those you love
empower them to thrive
Give them courage in the storms
and help them to survive...
Words can bridge a great divide
make enemies to smile
Reconcile old friends that have
not spoken in a while...
Use them wisely when you speak
remember what they do
No matter how they've been released
they'll all come back to you...
