Wordless Day

There are days
When words do not
Come out to play

There are nights
When sighs do not
Tell a story

Today is such
A wordless day
When voice fails

I sit with me
Feel blur empty space
Mental fatigue drowns

I try to squeeze
A simple line from blank
Nothing comes out

There are sure times
When voice feels full
Today feels empty

Patiently I wait
For surge of rhyme
No words come

Even impulse
Sounds no alarm
No word refrain

Then I squeeze
Lines without rhymes
String blank verse

Make sense
Of empty lines
Blur, empty, nothing
