Woodstock

Note: C. J. Krieger is a local Woodstockian poet

------------------------------------------------------------

Time to go
Woodstock holds no more secrets
And the music it once knew
Has long since faded

All that remains
Are old dreams
Of what was once there
And of course
The stories
Told by those
Who never knew Woodstock
But would have you believe
That they know the truth

Yes
It’s time to go
Woodstock holds no more secrets
Only old stories
Told for a price

Hey there
If you can you spare five bucks
I’ll tell you about Woodstock
And of course
How it never was

Of course there would be people fabricating tales and profiting from mass market nostalgia, which is why we all need someone like you to bring us back to reality...I like your outlook and appreciate this expose....
