Woodsman’s
Dear grace have I lost my mind?
Is this the room where I will find you?
I cannot grapple with sin and death tonight
But oh how sweet the sight
The angels will sing
And the choir will weep
And my blackened lungs
Well, they will scream
Dear grace what is this place?
And how I long to see your face
The whole world seems to stop and watch
As I stumble upon this lock
The wind will blow
And the birds will crow
And my broken body
Well, it still floats
Dear grace what am I doing here?
This is just what I feared
Three more days without you
Is an eternity to few
And I will hold your crown
And the blood will make us frown
And my trembling hands
Well, they'll nail you down
Dear grace what have I done?
I swear I was just having fun
Her smell still lingers
And I'm burning like the sun
You'll turn the water into wine
And I will wonder why
And my broken heart
Well, it's scars are mine
Three nights staring at the cross
Around your neck as we fall
I'll hold the nails between my teeth
I swear you said crucify me
Three days and my mind is made
Up the hill is where we'll lay
You down, dear grace or should I say
This empty room is the tomb I made
