The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Woodpecker Foot

cringing
beaten
slumped over
nightmares
of revenge --
STRANGLE him
hug mother
for dear life!--
startling awake
nauseous
sweaty
woodpecker foot
relentlessly taps
not my fault
don't hit me...
dinner table food
spasming
mangled by
screams, curses
roars its way
back up
undigested
will I die first

FUNNY and so easy to relate to. How about elbows on the table? I always enjoy where your mind goes, it is unique and entertaining to say the least. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Such a nice thing to read about oneself. Thank you for the compliment... As long as my mind still goes somewhere, Ii say---and doesn't just 'go' altogether! LOL. Thanks again, CayCay! :) gw

Wow Gershon, this sounds like a disturbing nightmare. Vivid visuals in this piece. Better take some time to be surrounded by nature. xxoo

Actually, much of this was more real than nightmare... But it's a long, long time ago, thankfully. Smiles, Gershon
