Won'T Stay Down

How could you leave me so empty and alone?
When all I ever wanted, was a love to call my own
How could you walk away from everything we had
What did I do that was so very bad?
I just don't understand the actions that you've made
When upon your shoulders your burdens I have laid

You may think that I'll stay down
I won't stay down for long
You chose to leave, I choose to stay
I'll take my heart and carry on

I may not know the reasons why you went away
I'll just save my heartache for another day
Why should I sit here, crying over you?
When I could find much better things to do
I never thought you'd walk away and leave me all alone
But since you're gone, I'll just move on, and call my life my own

So don't think that I'll stay down
For I won't stay down for long
You chose to leave, I choose to stay
So I'll take my heart and carry on
