Wont Give a Damn
I will not shed a tear that lays hidden behind these eyes.
so crystal clear and yet you can not see through my lies.
i am not okay and yet i always am.
i have to be every single day.
to hide away in my make believe land.
to hide it every day, the pain that survives.
crystal blue hides the ocean behind the rim of my eyes.
keeping closed the dam that throws me for a spin.
i ricochet from one emotion to the next, wondering when ill touch steady ground again.
the wrong words make me want to break a neck and cry.
i hide away from those, who truly can not see, what lies inside.
what i know to be me, what i hope will not die.
so walk away Jessica.
from those who do not understand.
tell your self again that you do not give a damn.
let them judge you behind your back,
for you shall not give them your face to laugh at.
let them be the imbeciles that they truly must be,
if they can not see whats inside of you, whats inside of me.
drying up the ocean, i will learn to take a stand.
And when they speak to me, i truly wont give a damn.
