Notes About The Poem

Sonnet   Attribution and inspired by J. Hunter Gaul's article in The Linking Ring October 2019 magazine issue entitled "The Value of Wonder", where the author (my brother) writes on concepts of wonder, stillness, certainty and most notably, magic. References include author Eckhart Tolle, philosophers and magicans.

Wonderment Magic Meditation

Magic reveals the awe of wonder:
Surprising that we don't focus.
It hits us like a clap of thunder,
One can't conjure Hocus Pocus!

Charmed by stunning invocation,
Enchanting mysteries we must know.
Locked in a spell's incantation -
All are amazed by Presto Chango!

As awareness arises with a wham -
Aha moments intrude inner space.
Abracadabra and Alakazam!
Wonder stops certainty in its place.

Thought becomes still in meditation,
Wonderment can cause liberation.

Hello Greg Gaul, to meditate is to relax and let your mind wander to a peaceful place that no one can go but you. Hav a nice day my friend.
