Wonderland
Justice...ha, Spartacus said it best; there is no Justice, not in this world
What sense of Justice is there when concrete jungles become habitats
while citizens become jackals who hunt in packs
becoming an alpha set when smelling the faintest hint of fear
when smelling the faintest whiff of weakness
but I forgot, we humans were born animals weren't we
abiding by the rules of simple primal desire
I've heard it said best that if that's easy for a fight to turn us all into monsters
maybe we don't deserve to win
She felt it the most, the brunt of it all; she was drowning but no one saw her struggle
only me, does that make her a figment of my imagination
we had this song we loved to hear all the time
It was Wonderland by Kill the Complex
"I can't help but wonder, could we have saved each other
She's dead and I am dying in Wonderland"
Yeah, what a pure wonderland this is
a carnival ride affair through this life of suburbia
as an invisible girl tries to place her imprint on the world
through art, through impression, through a smile upon her face
to only have a prank condemn her to scars, bruises, and obscurity
She only wanted to make her dream a reality
to star in her own self-entitled debut album that is her portrayed masterpiece
she constructed this beautiful work of art
now laying in ashes as she found it laying in the art room where she found it
How dare you
how dare any of you
she was my best friend, she was my wonderland
now share in my horror as I found her hanging by a banister
a mural for a martyr
