Wondering Why She Would Take Him Back
Forgiving relatives are fleeting
Bristling angry, feeling violated
Listing all his bad points
Wondering why she would take him back
Her children are reluctant
Want to stay with grandma, more scared now than ever
Dragged into his home again, expecting the worst
Wondering why she would take him back
Her parents are praying,
Disgusted at all the time and money they have used
To try to get her to see what she is doing to her children
Wondering why she would take her back
The nurses at the hospital are disgusted.
Talking among themselves about the reconciliation
Knowing she will be dead next time
Wondering why she would take him back
She loves who she loves who she loves
She forgives him, believing his promises of happiness this time
Hoping he will not hurt the children.
Knowing that she has to take him back.
