Wondering

If I were to ask you to stay with me
If I were to tell you I need you
Would you let everything go for the day?
And would you just stay here and hold me…

I’m not sure that I even want to know,
But I just might ask to see-
Because you’ve promised me so much,
It’s just you’ve never truly only held me…

Your life is full of cares I know-
And I can’t have you so selfishly,
But it’d just be nice for me to know-
That if I called you’d be mine alone
