Wonderin' Why

I'm supposed to be with you, but I'm wonderin’ why
My feelings inside are so hard to deny
I’ve got mad love and respect for you
If you only knew what your love has brought me through
I thought that once you were in love, you could never love another
But I feel that we are growing apart, instead of together
What have I done to deserve such tribulation
My heart is troubled from all of the contemplations
Making a decision that’s impossible to make
Trusting your instincts, what a risk to take
Believing in God is my only advantage
This pressure’s so strenuous, I don’t know how long I can stand it
Are we really in love, or are you just so fine
Am I thinking of a quick hit, or of a lifetime
How much longer can we last
Things are different now than in our past
Am I happy, do I leave, do I stay
Through my mind, these questions repeatedly play
Lord, please help, ‘cause I’m still wonderin’ why
We’re still together if we can’t see eye to eye
