Wonder Wheel
Along the wheel I roll and roll,
Up to the sky, then falling low,
Filling with laughter, tears of joy,
Leaping hands that hold my fears.
Along the wheel I roll and roll,
So many board, so many leave,
They drift into distant clouds of life,
Leaving whispers and laughter behind.
Along the wheel I roll and roll,
Onto the peak of caring worlds,
Then to the trough I seldom see,
Shadows of mind and depths of heart.
Through fleeting highs, through sinking lows,
The wheel spins with endless sighs,
Until it pauses, ever so faintly,
For me to slowly descend and go…
Along the wheel I roll and roll…
