Wonder

I came upon a gadget ;
Of mangelled copper and
Steel. Pendulems long and
Sharp , weighted heavy that
Swung as dead as a body on
The hangman’s noose.
Fragile chains attached to
Pins and hooks, drew my
Peering eye to mesmerize
The click of cogs within.
Shadows sharp as razors
Edge confound my sences
Looking on. Rings of brass
Stacked tight in rows that
Hummed and sparked
With puff’s of smoke and
Smelled of sulphur !

What a marvel this device
That wakes in me such
Wonder!

I am REALLY unmechanical, so I don't have a clue. WHAt was it, man?? You sure gave a lot of description, but sorry, I don't dare make a guess and sound stupid! Luv, Andrea ps. Hey, I gave a blog on how to figure your numerology, but if you dont' want to figure it yourself, you could soupmail me your birthdate and I can find out quickly your numbers. I am gonna do a recap of all the people's numbers now that I have most of them figured.

Couldn't help but think of an old clock. Their intricate designs and workings are indeed a wonder to behold, David. Enjoyed your poem! Love, Carolyn
