The women of Georgia are like a peach Beautiful in all ways~ emotional, mental, spiritual, and each will teach skills to young women~devotionals Peaches are versatile, fresh fruit to eat Chopped added to milk and cream for ice cream Pared, sliced, cooked in cobblers and pies~ a treat Made into jam for biscuits; toast, a dream Women of Georgia pass along their gifts Whether homemaking or politics teach Each one has something to share that will lift our daughters to levels higher to reach Women of Georgia dig deep in your well Lift our daughters to ride the highest swell Written: August 26, 2016

Jo, I am not to lift anything over 5 lbs., bend from the waist, be in a dusty environment, get water in my eye, but I can use the eye now but not so the first 24 hours..I am having to put the drops in there which blurs my vision and I can hardly see the fine print on here after I use the drops..I am sure there are other things that I cm not suppose to do but can't remember right now..LOL..I am limited for two weeks then some of the limitations go off..I have to use some of the drops fro 28 days..Sara

Sara, how did your surgery go? I like the analogy of Georgia women to Georgia peaches. I love peaches, but haven't had any good ones in a while. Take care! Blessings!

Kim, The peaches of today are varieties that are genetically altered to be shippable that is not bruise easily so they are not as good as they once were but if you are going to get some get the varieties of late July and early August which are more like the old ones from years ago..The problem with them is the red bitter next to the seed..I just cut that out when I make pickles, jam, or cook a pie..Thanks for the visit...I am doing well..I will have about a 6 week recovery period and a 26 more days of drops..Sara

Fun read Mrs Sara. I didn't know you were from Georgia. Though, you are "a true southern belle". Just the mention of Georgia and my mind starts racing. Stone Mountain, "Gone With the Wind", Sherman's march to Savannah, Jimmy Carter, watermelons and peaches,(both kinds) just to name a few. Wonderful! I enjoyed reading you this morning.
