Women Meet For Lunch

women
meet for lunch
laughing and talking
giddy to see each other
and believe it or not they do this monthly
will this continue when one of them dies?

probably. I'm a bit jealous of those bonds. I never quite fit in with those women.

You have to keep looking. Your tribe is out there somewhere or maybe just in here, Nancy.

i sure hope so! i am in a group of women who met when our kids (now 40 years old!) were born and we've been meeting once a month (lately on zoom) since then. a few years ago, one of the women dropped out for reasons she never disclosed but the remaining 6 of us have continued the tradition...

I do love doing this. We started out as seven but several moved too far away.
