Women Have Some Nerve

Women Have Some Nerve!

Those selfish women!  Confound ’em
Think the world revolves around ’em

It seems that no matter what they say
They expect to have things their way

On one issue, men must concede defeat
That’s the “up or down” on the toilet seat

She shows no appreciation that I can see
She should be grateful he raises it to pee

Instead, she will continually fume and fuss
If it isn’t lowered she’ll then begin to cuss

What right has she to pitch fits
If she doesn’t look before she sits

For him to laugh would be too rash
On hearing her behind go splash

Thus, it’s better for him to give in
If he wants to keep her as a friend

Christine Phillips February 11, 2014 at 7:39 PM Deep heart felt emotions displaced in this piece. Subject matter is true to life...these are some of the things that women get upset about. Yes it can be irritating at time but remember to Keep the peace. A soft answer turns away wrath but grievous words stir anger.

But there are some issues that tend to go overboard - those are the issues men must decide if compromise is worth it to keep the women in their lives. Great write Elton!
