Womanhood

Fragile but tough
Creature,a woman,an
Embodiment of glory and
Honor with heart deeper
Than deepest sea;full
Of mysteries.
 Mother of all humans.
Mystery herself,emanates
power and
confidence-alas!the
Egocentric man has
Centuries tried to strip
Her of splendor.
 She in the cage of
Subjugation patiently
Stayed,never
complaining But a
perfect planner.
See how docile that
Woman looks:With ironic
smiles in paintings,never
revealing her inner
thoughts.
Always flowing with the
Tide,not knowing what
Lies ahead-turned into a
Beast of burden from the
Pre-Roman times till date.
Used as a"pleasure doll,"
"a
monument,"........
"A parody" and medium
of displaying manhood
by male folks.
There is no haven for her
Nor her"unfortunate"
seeds,not at home or
society.
  This sleeping tigeress,
When awakened,fights
for her rights doggedly
than men.
When her battles start,
she ceases not till
Victory or defeat is sure.
  Once a man called
Jason as told by Euripides
a great Gracian
dramatist, took the wife
Media to
Colchis and there he fell
In love with another
daughter of King Aegstus
a ridicle on Media's pride.
Media fought back and
Craftily gave wedding
present. Nay a
Poisoned garment it was.
The bride wore it and fell
Dead,the King kicked the
bucket trying to rescue
her doomed daughter.
Flushed with this
Vegeance, Media slew her
children with Jason"I
bore them,so I kill them."
Oh!woman lamented
Jason,you are the most
wicked of all creatures
(He gune estin
kakiste,toon
Anthropoom).
   Also joan of Arch stood
Ground till death.
Like there were women of
note in mythology,so
were great women in
Real life.
  Women crisis time seem
to manage better,hence
British forces vanquished
Falkland and Goldie Meir
Of Israel did the Arabs
Humiliate.
   Here in my country,
Outstanding women
abound:Senator Chris
Anyanwu,an erudite,a
Law-giver,a fearless
lioness who
revolutionalised the
Mentality and thinking of
The youth thru
establishment of organs
Of awareness.
A visionary leader,
Advocate for women
Equality. Defender of the
Weak,hand to the
Handless,mother to the
Motherless.
Still the people's
Mouthpiece-i salute you!
  Okonji Iwuala,Vice-
president of World-bank,
Thru her experience
Transformed and
Stabilized the economy
to Buoyance.
  Dora Akunyere,as
Graceful as a gazelle but
Un-wavering like Everest.
A lady of excellence-
many Lives are saved
thru your Meticulous
efforts on the Eradication
of fake drugs.
  Women are the base
and pillars of every
society and homes.
  Lifeless would Earth be
without women.
  For a woman's heart
can be broken but her
spirit remains
immortalised in the
minds of those to
Come.
