Woman I Am
Woman I am
Woman I was
I was a woman that used to be
Free...
I used to live, breathe an eat happy
Until sadness blinded me and tragedy defined me
I tried to find and look through the eyes of smile's soul
Reality had nothing to show
Cold fact wouldn't let me see
What me and free could be
So I taught me
Not to feel...
Plausible perfection of pain pierced persistently
Somehow I smiled defiantly
Somehow through my empty existence I decided to live
Then tragedy no longer defined me
Instead...it taught me how to love truly
The woman I am
The woman I was
The woman I'll be...
