Woman

In the time before my time
There was danger
Yes, danger in the world
Who was there
Who was there to face it
All alone
I was young, not quite a man
Not knowing the world
Not ready to face
To face it on my own
Yes a woman, just a women
She stood strong
Trained me well
With what's right and wrong
Held the fort made me strong
Now the years have taken toll
I see the pain that plagued her so
With no one, to look up to
To draw strength from, when times were cruel
I now can clearly see
Women are women
When they have to be
Perhaps it's a spiritual plan
Without a woman there is no man
I would like to pay
pay with affection
all the years of neglecting
But the Woman's self assuring
with a spirit, that's enduring
Knows beyond what can be seen
And rise above all things that be

This is the kind of work that comes from way to much research and not enough time to attempt to digest it on an emotional level. I believe that the kind of understanding needed to begin to realize a woman's worth, is attainable, but not obtainable, and therefore impossible to put into words-----So, in other words---sometimes ----I write Crap !
