Wolf In Sheeps Clothing

She thought they were in love
Because he said all the right things
He was almost too good to be true
The consummate gentlemen

He was compassionate and gentle.
Taking his time with her,
Grooming her softly,
She bought into the fantastic love he offered.

Unfortunately, he was the worst kind of psychopath,
Secluding her from her family and friends
The second they were married,
Spending the rest of her life trying to squelch her light.

I see you also have a relative who was isolated and stamped down. Possibly a female, but in some cases a male.
