Woke up this morning missing the country way of living, This city life is just breaking down my stride, I’m yearning for the rolling rocky mountain highs, And the deep lush valleys startled by ancient pines! Sky scraper towers stretching upwards, blocking out The blue hues of the sky above, people bumping into Each other, until there’s just no more room to move or Breathe! Yes, I’m feeling a little green today, a rambler hungry For the out roads less traveled by, where a soul can get Lost in the fresh morning air, and just for fun I’ll pull over To the side and pick some fresh wild flowers, inhaling the Sweet fragrance of freedoms crossroads of life! At the road side stands I’ll pick up an apple or two, one For the stallion running free in the open fields of clover Green, behold his untamed wild spirit, never bridled or Rode, my restless heart beats in rheum with his! I’ll drive to the very ocean if I so wish, maybe I’ll Even surf on the first braking wave that ripples across My unsaddled feet, who knows where I’ll end up, Except the open road, and me! But at night I’ll park somewhere, where the air is fresh And crisp, as the open skies above will show me it’s Brilliance and beauty, I’ll just lean back watching their Peaceful display, laying on the hood of my old Chevrolet! No cell phone interference will I answer to, For I’ve left that world of stress behind me, Keep those apps to yourself reality, for I’m on Vacation beyond your strife’s reach! Maybe I’ll romance paradise tonight, And stop and listen to a real life raga band, Digging my bare feet in the crystal clear sand, Along some deserted beach, except for a few Locals whom know how to live the simpler life! Call me a hobo of the open road today, For I woke up feeling a little green this morning, And I’m leaving on that mid-night train for Pleasures of the forbidden everyday routine! Brother or sister you can pouch those busy Time cards, for I’ve sent mine back to the boss Of boredom, no more a captured beast locked Within a humdrum cage, this bird will sing, On amongst the beautiful horizon beyond! Come, come along with me if you’d like, I’ve got plenty of room, let’s set this world Ablaze, it don’t matter to me if you’re a Linda Bob or boy George, if you’re a freedom seeker, Join in this journey of experience, I’m willing To take all aboard! So if you woke up feeling a little green this Morning, I’ll be waiting for you here in the Paradise found! BY: CHERYL ANNA DUNN

LOL, I get you know. You feel green today. I'm not even close to a feeling like this. Nope, how do you find these spots, to tranquil your mind? Do you really live in the city? I live in a city. it is awesome because nature here is alive in my back yard. However, it is not a paradise. A wonderful write my friend. Okay, I lied, I wake up feeling green every day. But, dare me to go outside... LOL...LOVE LINDA

I do feel like that sometimes, Cherl, even though I do not live in a city and am surrounded by countryside. Getting away from it all (noise & people included) is a blessing. There's nothing more lovely than enjoying nature's peaceful company. This poem sings:) hugs // paul
