Woke Up Dead
I woke up dead this morning
Much to my surprise
My wife was still snoring
And I was lying there dead
So I thought I’d see a light
Or be standing at a gate
But a man said Kilmer
Take a number your going to have wait.
So I stood there with the others
All dead and confused
So we conferred and decided
To hold a protest
And made ourselves some signs
In blood we scribbled out
“We want in NOW”
Much to our chagrin
The pearly gates stayed closed
Seems that even God’s ears
Are deaf to the poor
So if you’re seeing the light
And you think you’re in the fast lane
You better slow down
And get your priorities
Set right
Or have the money to be found.
Because no ones in hurry
Just like the D.O.T.
You might get your license
Before they set OJ free.
