Without You Here
So here again I find myself, consumed within my thoughts.
My head and heart are taking turns, holding your lovely face.
I have you pressed, close to my chest, but not the way I sought.
I'm squeezing tight with empty arms, you're absent from my space.
I'm all alone and still adrift, without you here with me.
My daily life now such a chore, so lately I subsist.
But really Love I'm drowning lost, within this angry sea.
I'm not alive without you here, I simply just exist.
I covet all those lucky ones, who see you day to day.
With no idea how rich they are, they prove their senses dull.
I fear the miles which separate, may hold my love at bay.
Hunting my feelings one by one, my love it hopes to cull.
So once again I find myself, wrapped within my thoughts.
My heart and mind are sharing time, keeping your image near.
I'm holding you within my arms, just not the way I sought.
Enveloped within my lone embrace, so empty without you here.
