Without You

Flashing dusty lamp The termite hill, damp Cleft of a mountain unfinished Its cliffs as though diminished. Dewdrops decorating the window The modest moonbeam show Philodendron Birkin Ancient wells caved in All these, your paintings, you loved, I know They are now without your glow. Without you, the sight is unsettling. The aches of your memories are deadening.

Such a poignant read Christuraj. Powerful. ‘Dewdrops decorating the window, the modest moonbeam show’. Love these lines especially. Like Sara says, that last line - wow! It really grabs you. Terrific conclusion. Thank you for sharing.

what a touching and poignant poem, Chris. I can feel the pain of loss underscored with that beautiful last line. It took my breath away.
