Without You

The hardest thing about someone you love leaving you,
it’s not just about missing their company.
It’s about a routine that became something you both did,
no longer being with them.
It’s about the sound of their voice ringing in your head,
the way you miss their smile when they’d smile so brightly at you.
It’s about the emptiness,
the hole left in your heart,
the pain of your soul being ripped apart,
the dullness you feel without them.
It’s so difficult,
without you.
