Without Words
Quiet
rivers whisper
amongst themselves
praising each other’s dance,
captivated in transit. Delighted
by the opportunity to
speak without words.
Utterances pass
beyond
imagination,
rivers silent,
charmed by
one another's
gestures.
Passions superseding what
fingertips brush over:
a scarf lost in the wind
blindly finding her way, a
sheer curtain waves reaching
for a blue sky.
Thoughts of you
render me helpless
with just one—
stroke of a string
without words you
have painted me
joyous.
