"On my journey through life,
I have met people like weeds and flowers;
I let all the weeds wither;
and gather up the flowers in a precious bouquet."
Quote _ Constance La France

I have built a brick wall courtyard to protect me,
from the outside it is a barrier- a fortification;
but inside there are crevices and fissure openings,
and it is a beautiful and safe walled enclosure;
for in life there are people like flowers or weeds.
People come into my life and I accept them,
but in time each show there true story colors;
and sometimes those colors are not very pretty,
those people become the weeds in my garden;
I exile them so they can fade outside my wall
But, the people who become my soul-mates,
well, these are the flowers in my garden of life;
people who enhance, restore me- my bouquets,
oh, our bond is strong- I hold them to my heart;
in a niche, crack, crevice they will always dwell.
I have built a brick wall for my flowers and me,
for I only keep the good and not the bad ;
oh yes, in time each show their strength- weakness,
the strong are treasured, weeds just wither away,
I keep the kindred in the crannied cracks of my wall.
