Withering Sorrow
Stories told betray truth,
lost in little white lies.
Distrust becomes the norm,
desire turns to sorrow.
The abyss beckons my name,
looking down upon flowing tears.
Desperately clutching a dream,
why can't you love me, just me.
Another holds you heart,
or at least your primal passion.
My love burns for real, just for you,
commit to our broken promises.
Open the door to reality,
waves of insecurity a life time of agony.
Do not forsake me now, my love,
for I will wither and die....
