With You
Everyone else says “dreamland”
I say it’s “sleeping in Daryl’s arms”
Everyone else says “heaven”
I say it’s “mine in Daryl’s palms”
Everyone else says “sunrise”
I say it’s “staring into Daryl’s eyes”
Everyone else says “this is really sweet”
I say it’s “not sweet unless it tastes like Daryl’s lips”
Everyone else says “this is the best song”
I say “you haven’t heard music till you’ve seen the swing of Daryl’s hips”
Everyone else says “that hurts”
I say “you don’t know pain till you’ve had to kiss Daryl good bye”
Everyone else calls it “warmth”
I call it “wrapping myself in Daryl’s arms”
Everyone else says “she’s beautiful, intelligent, kind, sweet & perfect”
I say ‘she’s Daryl”
Everyone else calls it “falling in love”
I say ‘that’s my everyday with Daryl”
(Though I don't believe in naming my muses, she is a special love)
