With Whom You Can Dance

Find a partner in life
With whom you can dance
If you miss out on one
You could lose your chance

Some dances I've missed
Have brought about pain
Leaving questions unanswered
Yet one truth remains

I wanted so bad
To hold you so tight
But your happiness comes first
It would not have been right

My intentions weren't pure
Like the dress that you wore
Being friends is just great
But I wanted much more

I could not have looked
Into your soft sexy eyes
Without looking away
From an Angel disguised

For how could this dance
Be the last time I'd hold
The one that means more
Than she'll ever know

I've lived many lies
Throughout all my day's
I should have danced there with you
But in a much different way
