With These Hands I Built

For all the times I fail I add another nail I’ve tried to make you smile, Enchanted are not, I the 1st nail I was lost chasing my tail, Still lost, I the 2nd nail If you speak I listen with death ears, Unable hear your reason, I the 3rd nail I was once in your arms not aware of touch, Sight or feel, I the 4th nail For attention I climbed the walls of an unwilling heart, And fell forever I fail, I add the 5th nail And for the last nail, I do it for me, To be free from this curse, I will not fail I nail the final nail - Frederick Scott
