With These Fingers

With these fingers…
I have piloted a spaceship to the moon;
Circumnavigated earth in a hot air balloon;
Made countless women swoon.

With these fingers…
I have changed past histories;
Conversed with talking trees;
Solved life’s mysteries.

With these fingers…
I have seen young soldiers die;
Weaved some awful lies;
Made ex-lovers cry.

Electrical pulses from the brain,
Starts fingers dancing a tapping refrain,
Acting as my soul’s window pane.

Lightly strumming the new keyboard,
Replacing the pen as the mighty sword,
Many illnesses I have cured…
With these fingers.

This is great. I wouldn't even try to top this one. Good luck and I hope the judge likes it as much as I do. Love, Joyce
