~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You can hear her in the dark, listening – Like the wind’s cool breathe, glistening, Telling hearts to believe, just believe – Because love will not deceive, won’t deceive! You can glimpse her in the soft like summer, She’s a beautiful reflection of the newcomer, Wherever she passes, a heart remembers… All the wild Septembers, lovely Septembers. You can feel her reckless heart in the wind – Erasing the fears with hope that won’t rescind, Echoing light and faith, bleeding sincere grace, This is what souls walk miles to meet, to embrace. You can smell her laughter through the burning light, Softly calling across the starlit skies, glowing on night, Filling the life with a blazing truth, inspiring and pure, Gentler than the quietest tear, like dewfall’s allure. You can taste her on the midnight prayers, her wings, Like a miracle, so rare – stirring all my heartstrings, Magic in the savoring of sweet love, the lasting kind, It feels like the music of joy and peace, combined. When all is said and done, you know you’ve found the One, Abiding in her soul, forever alive and always God’s Son, He reassures the heart that there is no need to fear – Wherever He is, there is wonder that will endear. Over the aching moments, when the screaming rests And everywhere you go, the mind cries its protests – Remember it is Him, the One who forgave all your sin, Who will make life worthwhile and give peace within!
such a powerful poem with outstanding imagery and rhyme scheme. I don't know how you create soft poems that are also powerful and inspirational...You amaze me! The title caught my attention right away, hinting of wisdom to come. I love how you meticulously used the five senses. Well done, Gina...hugs, Sara
