With Only the Remains of Time Revised 07 15 2023

So often I've thirsted for life's sweet elixir, In pursuit of the nectar that passion delivers. I sampled its honey and savored its wine, Yet somehow, in my fervor, love was left behind. For in my desperate quest to taste it all, The essence of loving began to enthrall. Lost in the haze of reckless indulgence, Love slipped through my fingers, a fleeting presence. Now I find myself standing in longing's embrace, Embracing whatever I stumble upon in this space. Yearning for a life that's painted in hues new, Yet here I am, solitary, with no one to turn to. In a landscape devoid of promises kept, I navigate through time's remnants, adept. Accepting my solitude, though it stings deep within, I gather strength from the remnants of what has been. Alone, I walk this path with unwavering grace, Embracing the solitude, finding solace in its embrace. For in this stillness, I'll uncover the treasures, That lie hidden within life's most poignant measures.
