Witches In My Midst
There are witches in my midst
They are family
We are familiar, we are friends.
They are gardeners.
They are lovers.
They are nurturers.
They are Wiccans.
They are unduly cursed and given bad attributes
For once upon a time people were afraid of anyone different.
I like to think things have changed.
They are some of the most gentle, endearing, wonderful
people I know.
They love to garden.
Their flowers are sublime.
Please know they are my relatives and I adore them.
And the witches in the faerie tales are nowhere near the truth of the Wiccans.
