Wishing U Were Here

Enjoying the sight of the big muddy
Viewing nature’s beauty
Looking at the barges at rest
Wishing u were here by the red stick with me
Talking about the meanders of our lives
Staring in each other’s eyes
Trying diligently
Freeing myself from you and my evil daddy
Wanting u to be here badly
Asking God why He brought me here
Getting sad by the minute
Remembering all that happened this year and in the past
Feeling the love for you that will forever last
Wishing u were here with me physically
Gazing at the flow of the mighty Mississippi
Thanking the God almighty for whatever outcome
Realizing no matter how bad you and my dad were to me,
He deserves all of the love and He is where real love comes from.
Wishing u were here to share the sights of some of God’s gifts, me
The Red Stick and the mighty Mississippi.

Beautiful description of the woman sitting alongside the Mississippi river trying to sort out her thoughts about how she was brougt to this place. Your faith that God will answer your questions and prayers is inspiring, Nicole. Wish I could have been sitting with you watching the muddy waters flow. Love, Carolyn
